General Information
OPTION 1 (Single room + Shared Bath)
Approximately 60% of students register for this program (September May):
-Single room (a desk and good lighting).
-All meals included (everyday)
* Provide the student with complete full meals, snacks, tea or coffee.
* These meals must be provided 7days a week, holidays included.

OPTION 2 (Shared room + Shared Bath)
Approximately 30% of students register for this program (September May):
-Shared room (a larger bedroom that has 2 beds <not bunk beds>
and desks with good lighting or study room for students)
-Two meals (NO LUNCH) Monday Friday
*Provide the student with full breakfast and a full evening meal.
*These meals must be provided Monday to Friday.
*Complete full daily meals must be provided on weekends and holidays.

OPTION 3 (Single room + Private Bath)
-Must have own bedroom (good size) with TV and own bathroom, a desk or study room
-All meals included (everyday)
*Provide the student with complete full meals, snacks, tea or coffee.
*These meals must be provided 7days a week, holidays included.
-Less than 30 minutes by bus to the college (only one bus)


- Students of the same nationality or language background will not be housed together.
- Pickup is at the College by the homestay family.
- Students of the opposite sex will not be housed together.
- Each student must have a bed, desk, closet, chest of drawers, and access to the bathroom, laundry, kitchen and living areas.
- Cheques will be mailed 2 weeks after the students arrival.
- In cases of emergency cancellations or sudden homestay changes, 24 hours notice will be given. Any prepaid amounts must be refunded back to the College.
Any other charges will be given two weeks notice.
- Students who wish to stay longer in their home must tell the Homestay coordinator and Registrar.
- Student must pay NZC all homestay fees and can not pay the homestay family directly.
- If a student has not extended through NZC the student may not stay over the booked dates. There is to be no money exchanged between a student and host at any time (for homestay). We take it very seriously if we find out that money has been paid directly from a student to a family.
