Housing Information

Student Residence
NZC can arrange for students to stay in a student residence for short or long term periods. This typically a single room with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities in a good location in Downtown Auckland. NZC staff can also assist students, when they arrive in Auckland, to find an apartment. Students may have to stay in a hotel until a suitable apartment is available.

Homestay
I want to be a homestay family
The College Homestay Coordinator can find Homestay Families for NZC students with either a single room and 3 meals per day or a double room and 2 meals per day (3 on weekends). If there is another student with the family they will speak a different language. All families are screened and monitored. Special requests concerning religion, diet, allergies, and handicaps, can be met.

Homestay with a Teacher
One of the family members is a teacher and tutors the student 2 hours per day Monday to Friday.
Hotels in Auckland
There is a large selection of hotels available in Auckland with a range of quality and price. NZC can arrange price effective weekly and monthly rates.
Airport Pickup
A college staff person can meet the student at the Auckland airport and drive them to the New Zealand College where they are introduced to the Homestay family.

Note: Requests to change Homestay family will require an additional placement fee.
